Matt fletcher

Founder of GOPT Strength and Fitness | Athlete

With nearly three decades of experience in the fitness industry, I’ve dedicated my life to helping people become stronger, healthier, and more confident in their own skin. I’m the proud founder and owner of GOPT Strength and Fitness, where I bring together my passion for coaching, strength training, and real-life results to support individuals on their journey toward meaningful change.

I’ve been coaching since 1996, and over the years, I’ve earned credentials as a CrossFit Level 2 Coach, a Certificate IV Personal Trainer, and a Certified Sports Nutritionist. I’m also currently the Australian Masters Weightlifting Champion — a title that reflects my commitment to lifelong learning and personal growth in the fitness world.

Outside of the gym, I’m a husband, a proud dad to two amazing (almost teenage!) girls, and a devoted Doggy Dad to Archy, our spirited Cavoodle Spoodle.

What truly drives me is working with people who are ready to transform not just their bodies, but their lives. I believe in building strong relationships with my clients, offering guidance that’s rooted in experience, empathy, and a genuine desire to see you succeed — not just in your fitness goals, but in all areas of life.

jenny kay

Gym manager | Coach | Nutritionist | Athlete

I am a passionate coach, dedicated athlete, and someone who truly understands the ups and downs of the health and fitness journey.

I hold CrossFit Level 1 & 2 certifications, along with specialties in CrossFit Kids and Level 1 Gymnastics. I’m also a qualified Sports Nutritionist and hold both Certificate III and IV in Fitness.

With over a decade of coaching experience at GOPT, the very place where I started my own journey as a member, I bring both expertise and genuine connection to the community I love.

Throughout my career, I’ve competed in high-level CrossFit and Olympic weightlifting competitions, pushing my limits and learning invaluable lessons along the way. But I’ve also been on the other side, unfit, unhealthy, and unsure where to begin.

That experience shapes how I coach today, with empathy, encouragement, and a deep passion for helping others become their strongest selves, inside and out. Whether you’re just getting started or chasing performance goals, I’m here to guide, support, and challenge you every step of the way.

As a qualified CrossFit Level 1 Coach and Certified Personal Trainer I bring both professional expertise and personal experience to my role. For over a decade, I struggled with my weight and health, reaching the point of being classified as morbidly obese.

As a busy mum of three, I often placed my own wellbeing last. Seven years ago, I made the decision to take control of my health — and that decision changed everything. Since then, I’ve lost over 50 kilograms and built a lifestyle centered around strength training, balanced nutrition, and consistent daily movement. My own transformation is what inspired me to become a coach.

I understand the physical, emotional, and mental challenges that many people face when starting their health journey. More importantly, I know the value of support, accountability, and guidance when building sustainable habits and achieving long-term success.

Today, I’m proud to use my knowledge and lived experience to support others in reaching their goals. I’m passionate about empowering individuals to take control of their health — whether that means building strength, improving confidence, or simply feeling better each day.

For the past three years, I’ve been a dedicated coach at GOPT, where I’m proud to be part of a team committed to helping people create lasting change. Guiding clients through their personal fitness journeys — and celebrating their progress every step of the way — is what drives me every single day.

Before joining GOPT Strength & Fitness, I struggled with motivation and lived a generally unhealthy lifestyle. Joining this community was a turning point- what started as a personal journey to improve my health has grown into a passion for fitness and helping others do the same.

Now, with over five years as a committed member and more than 12 months of coaching experience, I bring both passion and practical knowledge to every session.

I hold a CrossFit Level 1 Certificate and an abundance of knowledge and experience in Olympic Lifting where I focus on helping members improve technique, build strength, and gain confidence with complex lifts like the snatch and clean & jerk.

My approach to coaching is embedded in creating a supportive environment that challenges you while prioritising proper form, injury prevention, and long-term progress.

Whether you’re just starting your fitness journey or looking to refine your lifting, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

Natallie Schembri

Marketing Manager | Athlete

As Marketing Manager at GOPT, I bring our brand to life by sharing real stories of grit, growth, and transformation.

From educational content to impactful campaigns, I add value at every touchpoint – helping members feel seen and supported, and guiding future members to see what’s possible with us.

With a Bachelor of Business (Advanced Business Leadership & Marketing) and over four years’ experience across the automotive, fitness, and FMCG industries, I’ve led fast-paced campaigns and built strategies for renowned brands, but nothing compares to the purpose-driven work I do at GOPT.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me lifting a barbell. A former dancer turned athlete, I’ve been training for over three years. Consistency hasn’t always come easy, but the support from our coaches and community keeps me going – and makes GOPT feel like home.
